Mercy Street
These photographs were taken in a place where the urbanity concentrates a population of great social diversity. These photographic moments demonstrate vibrant energy, screams, laughter and fun activities. But at the turn of a glance, absence, a feeling of abandonment can also be read on the faces. I listened to Peter Gabriel's title Mercy Street inspired by Anne Sexton's poem and I found in this interpretation, the universe of these images. I chose to illustrate this series of photos with this title as a “Mercy Street” resonance.
